2013年、RhinoTerrainのClaude Vuattouxは 数値地形モデル（Digital Terrain Model）を元データのCityGML 基準を表現しながらLOD2で自動的にテクスチャリングすることに成功しました。

"In 2013, Claude Vuattoux of RhinoTerrain succeeded in automatically texturing our Digital Terrain Model at a level of detail LOD2 while preserving the CityGML standard of the original data.
Previously, the Geomatique Division of the City of Montreal used the CityGML standard (LOD1 and LOD2) to produce a 3-D model of buildings from data obtained using a photogrammetry capturing process. CityGML is an open-source format that allows adding attributes, freely exchanging virtual urban 3-D models, and an open use of the format. Because the texture images generated by RhinoCity for rendering our 3-D urban model are generated from aerial photographs taken directly above Montreal, they are very realistic. The outcome is creating great interest among both experts and 3-D neophytes.
During the RhinoCity training, we were impressed by the geospatial data calculations, particularly while fixing knot topology and associating a building with an identifier using a spatial request. RhinoCity offers a great deal of efficiency and is causing us to review the software solutions we are currently using for producing our digital model. RhinoTerrain is very promising for structuring the Digital Terrain Model. It's a nice surprise for those of us in our line of work."

120以上のアプリが公開され、先月は訪問者数45,000（ダウンロード数25,000）だったfood4Rhinoは、RhinoプラグインとGrasshopperアドオンの最初のウェブサイトです。
先月の間に大幅な向上がありました:
- 新しいマテリアル、環境、テクスチャのセクション: Rhino、Flamingo、Brazil、Maxwell、V-Rayのマテリアル、環境マップ、テクスチャをアップロード/ダウンロードできます。
- 新しいQuick Linksでフィールド、プラットフォーム、ライセンスの種類でマテリアル、環境、テクスチャを検索できます。

Description:
The workshop on Applied Parametric Design serves as an introduction and immersion into the world of associative design with McNeel’s Rhinoceros and Grasshopper software. Rhinoceros is an advanced Nurbs modeller where we will learn about precision modelling, project workflow and organization. Grasshopper is an associative modelling plugin for Rhinoceros that allows us to parametrically define the logics of our model in order to explore variations and optimized solutions. These two tools are a powerful combination for any architect, designer, engineer, professional or student who is interested in exploring how parametric design can benefit their workflow.
This is the first workshop in a series of workshops conducted by Built by Associative Data in Beirut dealing with digital tools applied to architecture, engineering, and design.
Prerequisites:
Workshop participants should have a familiarity with CAD software, 2D drafting, and 3D modelling.
Software:
Rhinoceros 5.0 and Grasshopper (links to trial versions of the software will be made available to the workshop participants). Participants are asked to install the software prior to attending the workshop. Technical support will be provided prior to the workshop to facilitate software installation.

バルセロナに拠点を置く会社がこれを是正するためにRhinoを使っています。Jorge & Estherは服のデザインをデジタルでフィッティングすることで、採寸を使った従来の標準を捨て去ろうとしています。体型の違いに対応する仕立て戦略を把握するため、Jorge & Estherは体型のデータベースを作成するプロジェクト、The Body Database Projectに取り組んでいます。現在150以上の様々な体型がスキャンされ、データベースに登録されました。
1人1人にフィットさせるJorge & Estherのプロセス: 体型をスキャン。コンピューター上の体型イメージにバーチャルマテリアルをデジタルでまとわせる。デジタル型紙と服のバーチャル構造を作成。型紙をプリントアウト。布地をカットし、縫い合わせる。

16th International Conference on Geometry and Graphic（ICGG 2014）が2014年8月4–8日、オーストリアのインスブルックで開催されます。
ICGG 2014は理論上および応用のジオメトリ、グラフィック、その他の関連分野を含む、学術的/工業的研究の両方に関するプレゼンテーションやディスカッションのフォーラムを提供することが目的です。ICGGのカンファレンスは年に2回行われ、International Society for Geometry and Graphics（ISGG）の後援する一連のカンファレンスの一部です。

家具デザインの卒業制作:
学生達が3/4インチのメープル合板1枚（4’x8’）から2つのフルスケール家具を6週間でデザイン、ファブリケーションするプロジェクトに取り組みました。基準: Rhinoソフトで2種類のデザインを作成し、CNC製造可能、フラットに梱包して発送でき、ツールやハードウェアを使わないかわずかで組み立てることができ、廃棄する材料を最小限に抑えること。スケールモデルの数や小規模なプロトタイプ制作に必要な機材へのアクセスに制限はなく、作られたプロトタイプは全て形状、機能、マテリアルの利用を評価され、写真は学生が撮影しました。フルスケールの最終プロトタイプはフロリダ州立大学Facility for Arts Researchの4’x8’ CNCルーターで作成され、評価されました。
