デザインにおける現代の進歩は、建物のデザインや構造、関連する理論や分析、または未来のデザイナーや研究者の教育方法にその進歩が見られるかどうかにかかわらず、コンピューターによるデザイン方法、戦略、テクノロジーによって形成されます。デジタル次世代における建築のコンピューテーションは従来の枠を超え、デザインを通してデザインを見つめるクリエイティブな洞察をサポートする、新しいアイデアを必要としています。Circuit Bending, Breaking and Mending は従来のパラダイムに挑戦する学際的な内容を提供し、研究者も従事者の方も歓迎して、以下の3つのテーマに特に照準を合わせてコンピューテーションとデザインを（再）考察し、（再度）取り組みます。
革新的デザインの概念化およびコンピューター理論とテクノロジーを通したサポート
コンピューター分析を通して強化された、建築とデザインの知識
コンピューター思考および応用を通し、デザイン教育に対する向上したアプローチ

CAADRIA 2011では以下の項目を含みながらも制限されない、CAD関連のトピックの出展や、オリジナルの研究論文、ポスターの提出を受け付けています。

現在大学院での研究に関わっている若手研究者は、未完成の論文をCAADRIA 2011 Postgraduate Student Consortiumへ提出して頂けます。
